How Marymede approaches sport

Our philosophy is to encourage and promote a healthy and active lifestyle through regular exercise.

Primary school students have the opportunity to participate in physical education lessons, weekly House sport, interschool sport and major House and interschool carnivals. House sport is conducted within each year level. Students play traditional and modified games including T-Ball, Soccer, Australian Rules football, volleyball, and basketball ‘hoop-time’. In addition, major events are held such as the walkathon, cross-country, athletics and swimming carnivals.

Interschool sport is conducted within the Bridge Inn District competition.

Secondary school students - The Sports domain provides all students with a wide variety of sporting opportunities to further develop athletic ability at an elite level. The Sports Domain strongly encourages students with a keen and positive interest in sporting competition to get involved at a co-curricular level, with a view to complimenting academic performance and striving for a future in elite sports.
